University of Burdwan is another name Burdwan University, its a premier four state public university, in West Bengal, India, Started in 1960, over six graduate departments and 30 plus undergraduates colleges spread through over 3 district that come under construction, university has four academic campus, over several langauges running Burdwan University, over 227 Plus facultires and 189 plus affiliated colleges includes through degree colleges, BED, colleges and public and private professional institutes.
University has been got an excellence awarded by the NAAC on 06/11/16, it covers all Indian Universities. Vice Chancelor was Nimai Chandra Saha, and Chancellor is Governor of West Bengal, Located in Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal India.
It has entire property of Burdwan to the government of West Bengal after the zamindan system ends in 1950, Bidhan Chandra Roy was initiated as cheief minister, to establish a university at the premises of place of Maharaja. University of Jurisdication over Purulla district, Birbhum district, several subdivisions.
